🔌 Plug University
Privacy Policy
Effective: September 11, 2026 · Applies to the Plug app (including PlugMSU) and pluguniversityapp.com.
Plug ("Plug," "we," "us") is operated by SoinsAI Inc. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Plug you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account info. Your email address and password (passwords are stored hashed by our auth provider, never in plain text). Optionally your graduation year.
- Profile. A username and an anonymous display alias you choose.
- If you sign in with Google or Apple. We receive your name and email address from that provider to create your account. We do not receive your password.
- Content you create. Line reports, confirmations, photos of bar lines, chat messages, events, RSVPs, org memberships, and reports you file.
- Location. If you enable it, we use your device location to show nearby bars, verify you are at a bar when you post, and send optional "you're near a bar" alerts. Location is used in the moment and we do not sell or continuously track it.
- Device tokens. A push notification token if you enable notifications.
- Usage data. Basic app activity (credits earned, streaks) needed to run features.
2. How we use information
- To provide core features: live bar intel, rooms, events, credits, and notifications.
- To keep the community safe: moderation, blocking, reporting, and abuse prevention.
- To operate your account and communicate important service messages.
3. Google user data · limited use
Plug's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically: we only use Google account data (your name and email) to create and authenticate your Plug account; we do not sell it; we do not use it for advertising; and we do not share it with third parties except as needed to provide the service or as required by law.
4. How information is shared
- With other users. Your username or anonymous alias, and the content you post, are visible to other Plug users per each feature's settings (e.g. anonymous rooms show your alias, not your name or email).
- Service providers. We use Supabase (database, authentication, storage) to run the app. Your data is processed on their infrastructure under their security terms.
- Legal. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
- We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data retention and deletion
You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app. This removes your profile, credits, messages, reports, and photos. Line photos also auto-expire (typically within about 2 hours). You may also email us to request deletion.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and row-level database security so users can only access data they're permitted to. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
7. Children
Plug is intended for users 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your choices
- Turn location and notifications on or off anytime in iOS Settings.
- Edit your username and alias, or delete your account, in the app.
- Block or report other users and content.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the effective date above and, where appropriate, in the app.
